This conceptual sporting precinct brings together a soccer pitch, AFL oval, and a versatile indoor recreation facility within a unified and considered masterplan. Designed as a dynamic community hub, the proposal supports both organised sport and informal recreation, encouraging year-round activity and broad community participation.
The outdoor fields are positioned to maximise usability and clear sightlines, with shared amenities strategically located to serve both codes efficiently. Circulation paths connect the pitches to spectator areas, change facilities, and communal gathering spaces, creating a legible and inclusive environment. The layout balances open green space with defined edges, ensuring the precinct feels structured while remaining accessible.
At the heart of the proposal, the indoor recreation facility provides flexibility for training, community events, and multi-sport use. Generous internal clearances and adaptable court configurations allow the building to evolve alongside community needs. Large openings and controlled glazing introduce natural light while maintaining comfort and durability appropriate to high-use environments.
Materiality is robust and grounded, with a restrained palette selected for longevity and ease of maintenance. Covered thresholds and shaded zones create moments of pause between indoor and outdoor settings, strengthening the connection between landscape and built form.
The precinct is conceived not only as a place for sport, but as a civic anchor that fosters wellbeing, inclusion, and connection.
