MIXED USE
Located adjacent to Melbourne’s eastbound railway corridor, this mixed use development introduces a refined architectural presence within an established inner urban setting. The building rises with clarity and composure, contributing considered density to a well connected precinct.
Set on a 904 sqm site, the proposal delivers 63 apartments above a ground plane of retail and commercial tenancies. Activation at street level strengthens engagement with the public realm, supporting local amenity and daily exchange. Bicycle access and on site parking are prioritised, establishing a softer threshold between residents, pedestrians and the broader community.
The façade is composed through a deliberate interplay of light brickwork and textured dark panels. Vertical detailing introduces rhythm and proportion, creating depth across the elevation. Floor to ceiling glazing maximises natural light, framing outward views while reinforcing a strong residential character.
Balconies are staggered to enhance privacy and articulate the building’s mass. Integrated planting softens the structure and introduces a layer of green relief against the urban backdrop. Upper level setbacks create generous terraces and reduce perceived scale, contributing to a balanced silhouette.
At ground, slender columns define an open and welcoming entry sequence. The material palette remains restrained and tactile, balancing durability with warmth. The result is a contemporary residential building grounded in clarity, livability and urban connection.
