Peninsula

RESIDENTIAL

ARCHITECTURE + INTERIOR DESIGN

Located in Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula, an area known for its coastal landscape and elevated dune topography, this residential project is conceived as a private retreat embedded within its natural setting.

Positioned high on a sand dune, the house unfolds across a series of split levels that respond directly to the steep terrain. This sectional approach allows the built form to step with the site, minimising visual impact while establishing a clear spatial rhythm between levels. Living spaces are oriented to capture expansive coastal views, with controlled openings that balance outlook, light and privacy.

The architecture integrates building and interior as a cohesive experience. Circulation is deliberate and intuitive, guiding movement through layered spaces that open and compress in response to the landscape.

Materiality is raw and tactile, with a restrained palette that reinforces connection to place. Textured surfaces and natural finishes create a grounded, refined atmosphere suited to coastal living.

Peninsula is a considered expression of a contemporary coastal house, balancing luxury with restraint to create a calm and enduring escape.
