MULTI-RESIDENTIAL MASTERPLAN
SGKS are currently engaged in the development of a masterplan for a new residentail precinct on the site of a defunct country club on the verdant banks of the Yarra river. Surrounded by highly valued parkland, other residential areas, sports grounds, industrial uses and treasured cultural institutions there is a complex network of interested stakeholders all invested in getting a positive outcome for the site and the broader local area. Working closely with neighbours, local council and indigenous groups the design and collaboration process has had to be adaptable and sensitive to all interests while still providing a viable commercial result for the client. As part of the process we have also been able to draw on our experience in Visual Amenity Evidence (VAE) to produce a Landscape Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) in order to provide a rigorous and accurate assessment of the potential impacts of development on various vantage points in the locality.
